Annual Picnic: The Oakwood East Community will again this year combine its annual picnic with "National Night Out." Our annual picnic will be held at the pavilion east of the ponds August 7, 2007. There will be FREE hot dogs fresh off the grill, fried chicken, all the trimmings and drinks.

Annual Picnic - Tuesday, August 7, 2007

6:00 P. M. – 8:30 P.M.

Park Rules: Our ponds are privately owned, but there are still rules regulating their use by the Department of Wildlife Conservation:

1. Trotlines, throw lines, limb lines, jug lines, nets seines, yo-yo’s, spear guns, and taking any fish by noodling, and the taking of minnows by any method is prohibited.

2. Swimming or wading is not permitted. (Anyone observing children doing this, please call 911. We have been informed to do this because it’s a safety issue).

3. Boats in the ponds and vehicles on the common areas are only allowed while servicing the park, ponds or fountains. No other boats or vehicles are permitted.

4. Disposal of trash, refuse and debris is prohibited except in designated trash containers.

Register Your Storm Shelter by notifying the fire department at 739-1340 or 739-1358 or by emailing bhudson@midwestcityok.org .

 The proper form can be emailed, faxed or mailed to you.

Child Safety Seat Check/Installation, free and by appointment only at Station 1, 8201 E. Reno Ave. Call 739-1340 or 739-1358 or email mhinojosa@midwestcityok.org to schedule an appointment.

Make Sure You Child Knows This Important Information when dialing 9-1-1: Their NAME, their ADDRESS , their TELE- PHONE NUMBER.
